Mission Statement:
Country Club Hills Twin Lakes (CCHTL) Neighborhood Association advocates for the improvement of safety and quality of community life through building strong families and personal responsibility. Our neighborhood is a GREAT place to live! Our Neighborhood: Welcome to our neighborhood! The Country Club Hills Twin Lakes neighborhood is a friendly, pleasant residential community nestled between the hills of the Lost Creek, Metzger and Ferguson Lake Reservoirs along the beautiful Lost Creek on the east side of Lima, Ohio. Reservoir Road is the northern boundary and Harding Highway (State Route 309) is the southern border. There are over 500 households in our 244 acre neighborhood which is located in Bath Township in Allen County. The first homes were built in the 1960’s and the final homes were built in the 1990’s. Home sales prices vary between $100,000 and $325,000. The Lima-Allen County Regional Planning Commission rates the Exterior Quality of our neighborhood as excellent. According to the 2000 Census, there are 1,381 residents, representing over 14% of the Bath Township population. The Country Club Hills Neighborhood Association Articles of Incorporation were granted by the State of Ohio on September 11, 1972. The first Board of Trustees President was Judge Richard Warren. The Twin Lakes Neighborhood Association, a not for profit organization, was formed on September 2, 1976. On January 8, 1990, the two groups merged. On July 8, 2003, the Internal Revenue Service recognized the CCHTL Neighborhood Association as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which makes all contributions to our association tax deductible and provides for other tax benefits. Our Valley Way Park is open for the enjoyment of everyone. Lost Creek flows along its southern boundary. There is a shelter house with picnic tables, a baseball diamond, a soccer field, Volleyball Court and a large swing set. It’s a pleasant place to spend some time with family and friends. The Bath Township Schools are academically excellent and have several fine sports teams particularly golf and girl’s softball and basketball. Our neighborhood is located near the East Gate Shopping Plaza and has easy access to interstate I-75. There are numerous stores and restaurants located along Harding Highway. The Ford Engine Plant and the Procter & Gamble Plant are located in Bath Township. Many or our neighbors currently work for these two major employers or are retired from these facilities. We have an excellent relationship with the Bath Township Trustees and work with them to improve roads and services to our community. CCHTL is a charter member of the Lima-Allen County Neighborhoods in Partnership (LACNIP) non-profit organization. LACNIP works in a collaborate effort to improve the greater metropolitan community and make it a better place to live, work and play. Their website is www.lacnip.org In addition to our website www.cchtl.org , we publish a quarterly newsletter which provides educational information and current news of neighborhood events. We request an annual (tax deductible) contribution of $20 from each household. These funds maintain our parks and the gateways to our neighborhood, pay utility bills, insurance and other expenses. We have established a special account for play ground equipment at the Valley Way Park. Learn about our neighborhood’s colorful history such as our annual “Block Party” held on Kingswood Drive in August with chicken dinners, pot luck dishes, games, movies and family fun! We have a Neighborhood Spring Clean-up every April and our huge Neighborhood Garage Sale is held the first weekend in May. We have a Christmas Outdoor Decorating Contest with prizes donated by local merchants.
